California Hockey Officials Inc. is proud to announce our Officiating Gear Program for the 25/26 USA Hockey Season! Scholarship applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as set by California Hockey Officials Inc. We are focused on the grassroots level officials, unfortunately those with professional or international experience will not be considered.

Procedure

Applications are submitted directly to California Hockey Officials Inc. Scholarship Committee Member Christopher Arvizu. He can be reached at scholarships@californiahockeyofficials.org. Applications are first reviewed by California Hockey Officials Inc. Board of Directors before a final vote to approve.

Scholarship Value: $500.00 each

The recipient will receive a maximum of $500.00 ("Award") to reimburse/offset the cost of officiating gear. Award shall be payable upon receipt of evidence of recipient fulfilling all scholarship criteria. The recipient to be responsible for any costs/fees beyond $500.00, if applicable.

Please note:

Funds awarded by California Hockey Officials Inc. cannot used towards the purchase of ice hockey skates. Level 1 officials must provide their own skates. Also, playing experience may include youth/adult in-house, travel hockey, junior, college, or professional hockey. Funds are limited and not all applicants will be awarded funds under this scholarship.
